East Vision Systems collaborated with Rubberduck Media Lab (renamed Aspiro TV) to design, develop, configure and launch a custom media player that seamlessly streams live shows to the audience, regardless of their internet connection’s bandwidth.

It is capable of streaming multi-bitrate media from a Wowza Media Server. Depending on bandwidth and using its own dynamic algorithms, it can seamlessly switch between different bitrates to assure a continuously play of the media and the best user experience.

The player is SMIL compliant and features the standard media capabilities. It has its own Javascript API used to receive commands for new SMIL data, playback control or fine volume access. It is also configurable to hide the UI during playback and to turn off media auto play.
