East Vision Systems collaborated with Maven Networks and Financial Times (FT) to design, develop, configure and launch a number of custom players to be used across FT’s network of sites.
Among these custom players, the most complex one was launched for Financial Times Business, a Financial Times property, to serve as a marketing vehicle for the broadcast content. We were honored to provided full development and a successfully delivery for this player, as well as for the other players.
Running on top of the Maven Internet TV Platform (MITVP), the players were supporting complete media capabilities including: nested playlist groups and playlists with interactive navigation, a global search across all video clips, a favorite on-the-fly playlist, sharing options, advertising integration and companion banner synchronization, video metrics reporting, and dynamic customization through the backend interfaces (change colors, styles and turn on/off features).
Video ads were delivered from external DoubleClick DART ad servers. Metrics were aggregated through Web Trends.
The Financial Times players were running on top of the MIVTP, powered by Maven Networks (acquired by Yahoo!), that was providing ways for content management and dynamic customization.
