East Vision Systems collaborated with Yahoo! Professionals Services and Columbus Dispatch (CD) to design, develop, configure and launch two custom players to be used across CD’s network of sites.

The CD’s players were running on top of the Yahoo! Video Console which provides ways for content management and dynamic player customization.

All the appropriate media features were available for use on these players:

• Nested Playlist Groups and Playlists with interactive navigation.
• Video advertising integration (using proprietary or custom built ad-connectors). Ads were delivered from external DoubleClick DART ad-servers.
• Companion banner advertising integration and synchronization.
• Video metrics reporting for analytics through Web Trends.
• Dynamic customization. Using the Yahoo! Video Console interfaces, the publishers can easily change the template style and colors, or turn on/off features.
• Sharing options (send to a friend, community share, video link, and embed code).
• Searching on Title, Short Description and Keywords across all video assets.

We also provided maintenance and optimization of the Flash ad component that connects the player with the ad server.
