East Vision Systems collaborated with BIGGER and BAT (British American Tobacco) to design, develop and launch the My Pack Designer, a rich internet application that supports an online contest for the best pack design. Users will attend via voucher codes, register, draw and submit the final designs.

The application allows freely drawing over the pack area using pencil, line and eraser tools in scalable thickness, as well as adding various objects like texts, symbols or images selected from their own computers. Actions that can be performed on the objects include rotating, scaling, and dragging. The users can also use a customized color picker, undo their actions or clear the entire design.

The backend interfaces provide all the necessary functionality to select the winner: browsing, reviewing, dynamic filtering and sorting, Lightbox implementation, and statistics.

The designs have been provided by BIGGER, while we have done full developing and hosting on our dedicated servers.

The application was built using rich technologies like Flash/Flex, jQuery, AJAX, while storing everything into a MySQL database through fast and secured XML services.
